Brgy. MABILO

South of Barangay Tambak, across the Mabilo River lies barangay Mabilo of New Washington distinguishing it from Barangay Mabilo of Kalibo. It was told that Mabilo got its name from a big mabolo tree that stood there. However, more research or possibly, interviews with the old folks of the barangay can enlighten us about how Mabilo got its name as no information along this line can be heard or read about and that there are no writers nor historians in this barrio.
